My first book out in the UK and North America
My first book, a true crime title, is out today in the UK and North America. The Cocaine Diaries: A Venezuelan Prison Nightmare is released in paperback edition in the UK (WH Smith, Waterstones, et al) , the US (Barnes and Noble, et al) and Canada. Authored by me, Jeff Farrell, and Paul Keany, The Cocaine Diaries (Mainstream Publishing, a Random House imprint) recounts the story of Keany and his time jailed in the notorious Los Teques prison in Venezuela from where he later escaped. Seven former officers of Colombia's security services each face up to 20 years in prison for the aggravated ‘psychological torture’ and physical intimidation of journalist and NUJ honorary member Claudia Julieta Duque. Five of the officers are currently in detention and two are fugitives.
